Privacy Policy

This Policy explains how SCUBIS processes personal data when you use our websites, accounts, cloud storage, photos, synchronization, backup, sharing and related services.

Last updated: 28 September 2026

1. Data controller

“СКУБИС” OOD (SCUBIS), UIC 206621197, registered in the Republic of Bulgaria, is the controller for the processing described in this Policy where SCUBIS determines the purposes and means of processing.

2. Personal data we process

Depending on the features you use, we may process:

  • Account data: email address, account identifiers, authentication and settings.
  • Subscription data: plan, quota, billing status and transaction references. Payment-card details may be handled by the relevant payment provider rather than stored by SCUBIS.
  • Files and content you choose to upload, synchronize, back up, organize or share, and associated metadata.
  • Technical and security data: IP address, device/OS and application information, timestamps, logs, diagnostics and security events.
  • Sharing data: recipients, permissions, links and activity needed to provide collaboration features.
  • Support communications and information needed to investigate and resolve your request.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We process data to provide and administer the Services, authenticate users, store and synchronize requested content, provide backup and sharing, manage subscriptions, provide support, secure the Services, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations and improve reliability.

Depending on the processing, our legal basis is performance of our contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services where those interests are not overridden by your rights, or consent where consent is required.

4. Your files and content

Your files remain your data. SCUBIS processes content to perform functions you request, such as storing, synchronizing, backing up, previewing, organizing, restoring or sharing it. We do not claim ownership of your files through this Policy.

5. Recipients and service providers

Data may be accessible to authorized SCUBIS personnel and service providers where necessary to operate infrastructure, communications, billing, security or support. Providers acting on our behalf are subject to applicable data-protection requirements and contractual safeguards.

We may disclose information where required by applicable law or valid legal process, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell personal data.

6. International transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area to a destination without an applicable adequacy decision, SCUBIS will use a lawful transfer mechanism and safeguards required by applicable data-protection law where required.

7. Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including maintaining an active account, fulfilling contractual commitments, security, dispute resolution and legal/accounting obligations. Retention can vary by data type and feature. When an account is deleted, data is deleted or anonymized subject to technical backup cycles and lawful retention requirements.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure. No online system can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect account credentials and devices.

9. Your data-protection rights

Where the GDPR applies, you may have rights to information, access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, and protection in relation to decisions based solely on automated processing, subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law.

To exercise a right, contact vs@scubis.com. We may need to verify your identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection supervisory authority.

10. Cookies and local storage

SCUBIS may use cookies or similar browser storage that are necessary for authentication, security, session continuity, preferences and operation of the Services. If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising or similar technologies that require consent, we will provide the required choices before using them.

11. Children

SCUBIS is not intentionally directed to children below the age at which they may independently consent to the relevant processing under applicable law. Where parental or guardian authorization is legally required, the Service should be used only with that authorization.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when our Services, data practices or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will be published on this page, with additional notice where required.
